About Aerie

AERIE  [ere, ire]  noun: (1) the nest of bird of prey, as an eagle or a hawk; (2) a lofty a large nest of any large bird; (3) a house, fortress, or the like, located high on a hill.

Aerie, the development, is the construction of 40 new homes built on the grounds of the South Milford Elementary, former home of the ‘Eagles’.  This collection is comprised of (3) distinct areas:

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
PROJECT AMENITIES

One of the main features of Aerie is its appeal to an active lifestyle both on and off site:

ONSITE Aerie plans to include a small pool available to all 40 homes; in addition, Aerie looks to expand the space that was the former school entrance /breezeway between the school and the gym to create a 2,000 square foot common space, perfect for a small fitness area, hosting gatherings and restrooms /changing area for the pool.

OFFSITE Aerie is only a short walk to several recreation destinations. Nature hikes and other learning opportunities are found directly across the street at Valley View, a nature conservancy that is open to public, providing more than 5 miles of trails for walking (people & dogs), running, biking, and horseback riding. Only a half-mile away is the little Miami River, with public canoe & kayak launch areas and just west of the river is the 70+ mile long Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail.

As noted on the map, downtown Milford has an eclectic mix of restaurants and retail in its downtown:

from the brewery along the river to ice-cream & coffee to more formal sit-down restaurants. Mixed in is an array of specialty /independent retailers from antiques to outdoor gear to a small food market. One other feature of the business district is the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), allowing people to take their favorite beverage on a stroll along Main Street as they take In the sights & meander from shop to shop.
